The Clinic was established in 1985 when the Durham Tenants Hotline applied for funding as a full-service legal clinic. The clinic opened in February 1985 under its current name The Durham Community Legal Clinic. In December 2001, the clinic co-located with Legal Aid at its current location. This co-location provides low income residents of Durham Region quality legal services in a convenient central location.
