Durham Community Legal Clinic partners with other community service providers to help Durham residents reach the supports and help they need in OTHER AREAS OF LAW.
Legal Aid Ontario (LAO)
Legal Aid Ontario provides funding to Ontario community legal clinics; as well as offering services in Family Law, French Language Rights, Criminal Law, Abuse & Family Violence, and Refugee Law.
DCLC is proud to host onsite training for the Durham College Paralegal Program. Students work closely with professional staff in learning all aspects of clinic law; while supplementing DCLC services in the areas of Debt & Consumer Rights, Provincial Offences, and Small Claims Court.
Community Legal Education Ontario (CLEO)
Part of the Ontario legal aid system, CLEO provides legal rights education and information, with a focus on those who face barriers to accessing help.
DCLC is active in the Durham community, offering presentations, education and in-person appointments through a variety of partnerships and collaborations. Current outreach opportunities include:
